It is a house-museum, a tribute to the past and a proud gaze toward the future, where the work and passion of Giuseppe De Luca, together with the memory of his father Andrea, the Tipografo di Amalfi, continue to live on.
Today, just a short distance from Amalfi, stands Hotel Il Tipografo di Amalfi, a fully renovated house-museum designed to offer discerning guests a stay that perfectly embodies the essence of Italian style. Here, the traditions of authentic Amalfi hospitality are enriched by a touch of art, culture, and refinement.
Nestled along the inland side of the coastal road, the property unfolds across two staggered levels, harmoniously adapting to the local landscape, much like the lemon terraces that cascade along the hillsides. Inside, elevators and an artistic staircase connect the various floors.
Adorned with remarkable works by the celebrated late nineteenth-century Amalfi Coast painters, known as the Costaioli, and precious Vietri ceramics from the renowned German Period, this pathway guides guests upward while offering an immersive visual and cultural experience from the very first moment.
From the terraces, guests can admire breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast and the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi in all its timeless splendor.
