From Ravello

The "facile" rapidity that lends charm to Luca Albino's numerous landscapes of the Amalfi Coast should not be misleading. Moving from typical late 19th-century compositions—influenced by the teachings of Vincenzo Migliaro, as seen in his Church Interiors (entry 49) or the glowing views of Ravello (entry 11) — Luca Albino’s painting reached, by the 1930s, an expansion of form also found in the works Ravello (entry 20) and L’Annunziata in Ravello (entry 40). This evolution reveals a modern sensitivity in his depiction of the landscape, where the brushwork becomes more liberated and vibrant.
