The work belongs to the most renowned production of Clemente Tafuri, dating back to the 1960s, a period in which the artist devoted himself to genre painting destined for great success. This painting displays the distinctive features of his mature style: the use of bright tones and a technique applied in "tufts" of chromatic filaments, which lend the scene a vibrant liveliness. Much like Young Girl (entry 48), the canvas reveals a technique that is only seemingly "facile", dense with pictorial matter and immediate communicative impact, although his great commercial success sometimes hindered his critical standing.
